I uploaded a dvd-cover and got the following rejection:

Dust specs need removing

I scanned it like al the other dvd-covers (which all where accepted) with the tutorial on this forum.

What should i do to improve the image?

Not seeing the cover that was rejected it is hard to say, however maybe you just had a cover with a few imperfections in highly visible areas, if this is the case zoom in on the image to 100 or even 200% and clone out the imperfections. It usually doesn't take that much time, its not hard to do and it can really improve the overall image. Hope this helps you.

The rejection indicates that there were probably a few too many specks of dust or other imperfections still on the cover. You simply need to use either the healing brush or the clone tool to correct the imperfections and make the scan look as clean as possible.
