another sports movie based on the life and tribulations of jackie robinson, the first black player in professional baseball (mlb). the movie portrayed his historic signing and all that he had to endure during that first season, one where he earned the rookie of the year award.
overall, not a bad movie, but it wasn't a great one either. i'm a fan of movies based on true stories, but this one wasn't one of the best ones. it was slow at times which leads to - GRADE: B-
