a story about an aging baseball scout who reconnects with his daughter through the sport that they love. only after learning of her father's eye degeneration mickey (amy adams) does she go on a scouting trip with her dad (clint eastwood) to help him on a scouting trip of the atlanta braves possible #2 pick. she discovers that her father was right in what can be used as a scouting tool.....sound!
both father and daughter are found to be better judges of baseball character than that of the newer, computer aged type of baseball guru.
ok, this was panned by the critics but only enforced for me how bad all critics are. for me, this was the MOVIE OF THE YEAR (just as "flowers of war" was for me last year). it was a great movie and i'm usually not a clint fan, but this was that good. GRADE: A

I enjoyed this film as well. I would give it 4.5 out 5 stars.

hehe, i didn't even notice that. it's been a busy movie season...lots of them are coming out of the woodworks!
