I know what you are asking about but I have never seen one marketed at the consumer level here in the U.S.

I have seen those printers but they for professional use only. They are not printers they are plotters and you can can put any ink you you want. Software ripping your work and decides how will work. My friends has 2 of those the first one has 3meter diameter and prints at 300dpi ant the other is really good has 1,2meter diameter at 1200dpi.

The only printer that I know of off the top of my head that will print using
metallic inks for the home user is the Alps MD-1000, MD-1300, MD-2010,
MD-2300, MD-4000, and the MD-5000 here is the link to where they sell
the metallic inks http://www.inkfarm.com/products/printers.epl?mfg=Alps
click on the MD series: the only metallic colors they carry is metallic magenta,
metallic cyan, metallic silver, and metallic gold. Very Happy
