I use Paintshop pro and save mine as a pspimage file... Then when I think I've finalised them I then save them on an external 80Gigabyte drive and remove them from my Internal hard drive... I leave them on the External Drive until I know for sure that I won't need them again... _________________

When i start a new cover,i put all the artwork into a separate folder, and save all the .psd's as i go along.I have every bit of art work and all .psd files for every cover i've made so far. Will eventually back them up to DVD. _________________ Reduce your carbon footprint...wear smaller shoes!!

I do the same, always save the .psd's.....another thing, if I need to merge layers or flatten; I always create a duplicate image first so I always have the original to go back to if what I was doing didn't work out as I had hoped.

I try to remember to back up my "tkboxer" folder every other month to DVD. _________________ No matter how many times you try...you can't clone the dirt off your screen. |

				| i make a folder called CUSTOMS in my cover directory. any time i make something, all the files end up in there. the cover/label itself gets saves as a PSP file in case i need to make changes later. i copy/paste and then save to jpg for any uploading to the site. |

any reason why that is no good? i can save them as psd, but .jpg work in all editing s/w where .psd only opens up in photoshop.
