HELP! need help deciding on a new laptop

i am looking to buy a new laptop something that has enough memory and space to put photoshop in plus all my other stuff (banking pictures....ect...) to do covers again ......really miss creating....i found this one ....before i buy it i am asking what everyone thinks and if there is a better laptop out there let me know .... not concerned about the cost

This sounds nice Anna, it is almost the same specs as my new HP desktop pc.
The only difference is my Intel Dou Core is at 2.40 ghz.
I think you will be very pleased with the new duo core machine, they are a very substantial increase in performance. I haven't been able to bog mine down yet and I've been multitasking out the wazoo with this thing!
My only recomemdation would be to look for the same specs in a 15" screen,
the 17" are nice but they eat the battery too fast and they also weigh quite a bit more if you want to lug it around to wireless hotspots. Get the most powerful battery they offer, usually a 12 cell but now they have some even better that they claim will last all day on a 15" machine.
Good luck with whatever you decide. By the way, what happened to the 14" widescreen you have? Did it die on you? It isn't very old is it?

thanks for the advice tk........the laptop i have will be 1 year old next month....but it doesn't have what it takes to run photoshop.......it would freeze up on me all the time so i had to take it out.......i will be buying a new laptop each year ...it can be written off on my taxes.....and this way i can have the newest technology....

I love it the only drawback is battery life, but it is a great notebook, little heavy but I wanted a 17 inch screen, but Toshiba has other great models to

nice specs... but its heavy... not too bad if yuou only plan on using it around the house... very bad if you travel alot... I travel a lot from time to time so I go for whatever is lightest... well ... almost

Yes its a bit heavy but I travel with mine quite a bit, its not as bad as I thought it was going to be, bought a good case for it and still love it, the only thing that really gets me is the battery life 3 hrs max
