| Overacted and overdirected, what could potentially have been something interesting instead turned into a gigantic yawnfest, attempting to be mysterious and instead just coming off as overindulgent. Give it a miss, even on video. |

ok - I'm gonna try and even this up (!) I actually liked this one - yes it was a little self indulgent and bordered on being over directed- but hey, if you can forgive it that then you can enjoy a beautiful love story with great performances (sigh - the romantic in me bursting to get out!)... although it would have been interesting to see the big budget Brad Pitt version!
