This sounds nice Anna, it is almost the same specs as my new HP desktop pc.
The only difference is my Intel Dou Core is at 2.40 ghz.
I think you will be very pleased with the new duo core machine, they are a very substantial increase in performance. I haven't been able to bog mine down yet and I've been multitasking out the wazoo with this thing!
My only recomemdation would be to look for the same specs in a 15" screen,
the 17" are nice but they eat the battery too fast and they also weigh quite a bit more if you want to lug it around to wireless hotspots. Get the most powerful battery they offer, usually a 12 cell but now they have some even better that they claim will last all day on a 15" machine.
Good luck with whatever you decide. By the way, what happened to the 14" widescreen you have? Did it die on you? It isn't very old is it?

Yes its a bit heavy but I travel with mine quite a bit, its not as bad as I thought it was going to be, bought a good case for it and still love it, the only thing that really gets me is the battery life 3 hrs max _________________ Ken |
